I message houses, apartments, townhouses, anything I find for rent.  Few get back to me.  I joined Zillow because they have an application process where I can pay $35 and then apply to anything without a separate fee.  That's likely to be $35 per person, so whenever I have a spare $105, I'll set that up.

It sounds much more reasonable than $50-$75 per person, per rental possibility.

Meanwhile, Aaron, in between pestering me about finding him a real house - "I'm trying, bud!" - enjoyed his buddy Stan's loaned computer.

He's playing Bloons.

His hair got a little lighter in all the sunlight at the campsite.  He is also getting a lot of grey.

You can see some grey here, and his pirate scar.

He woke up this morning in a great mood.

"You wanna go get breakfast, mama?" he asked as soon as he was in his chair.

But he didn't get up til after breakfast, which ends at ten.  He likes it because for $6 for two breakfasts, he can choose bagels or toast or cereal, plus a side and a drink.

He loves to consider, his finger tapping his mouth, what exactly would be best that day.  It doesn't hurt that the young lady behind the counter is always happy to see him.

By evening we'd run out of anything Joey could eat, save his goldfish, which he'd been eating all day.  His ARFID was not helping, at all.  He can get so restricted that there will be only one food he can eat. That is often not manageable in poverty.

He put up the batsignal - made a post on my Facebook asking for help getting food.  However, he wore out before he got anything, and he went to bed early.   He'll have food for tomorrow.

We get our $61 in food stamps in a couple days.  That will help, then.

Aaron and I stayed up quietly watching a documentary about the Yellowstone supervolcano.  Again.

After that, he too waa finally tired enough to sleep.
