31

The title says 31 days, but it's been about 56 since we lost our home.

We have this place til the 17th.

The first thing Aaron asked for when he woke up this morning was "swimmin'", he was very goal oriented.  But he had to wait, I had a grocery order coming and Rundes was planning to stop over with our microwave and some things for Joey.

Also my body was still wobbly-tired, and my legs painful.

But the kitties were enjoying themselves.  They clearly miss their sunroom.  If we ever get settled, please, please, I'll see about making or finding them a catio.

We crave the sunlight, mother

That couch is where Joey sleeps.  It's an oval shaped loveseat, and it does have a twin sleeper in it.  The sleeper had that bar in the middle though, so was agonizing for someone with damaged hips.  I looked into getting him a humour board, but the cost was prohibitive for now.

So meanwhile, Joey's a little squashed.

But Scrunt does get her own ottoman to sleep right next to her boy.

Rundes arrived after the groceries, and I set up my makeshift kitchenette.
Shelves would be more useful than that painting, imho.

I didn't realize from the airbnb listing that this was a suite, with a bedroom.  Aaron and I share that, since Joey absolutely refused to have to share a king bed with either of us.  Fair enough, this is better than a tent, but suboptimal still.

So I share with Aaron, and he hogs a king size bed.  If they'd let me have my cot here, I'd use that!

It's odd to sleep in a bed.  It feels weirdly soft.  I bet I'll get used to it.

The hotel says they've ordered a shower chair for Aaron.  I'd like to get him some suction cup handles, maybe, and I regret leaving his commode, since it can be adapted to be handles around an existing toilet.  His wheelchair does not fit into the little bathroom, so he could use more handles.

We made it to the pool just past 7 pm.  Aaron put his feet in, but was unwilling to get all the way in.  It was colder than the campground pool.

He apologized a lot for not swimming, but I told him it was just fine, and I had fun kicking my feet in the water with him.  He apologizes constantly these days.  It is heartbreaking.
